Redebt is an insolvency claims trading and settlement platform using specially designed, superior and secure software. Until recently there has been no readily available infrastructure in the UK to support a secondary insolvency claims market. Most of the transactions are undertaken over the counter (OTC), thereby constraining liquidity and price discovery. The move to standardisation of settlement documentation in relation to the trading of insolvency claims has paved the way to the use of technology solutions to expedite the trading and settlement.
Redebt aims to offer technologically superior solutions for the insolvency claims trading market to promote efficiencies, liquidity, price discovery and settlement timelines for the benefit of all stakeholders. There is an increasing pool of holders of corporate insolvency claims who welcome the opportunity to sell their insolvency claims rather than wait to be paid out of the debtors insolvency estate. On the other hand, there are corporate buyers or sophisticated investors in such insolvency claims.
Redebt is an online orderly market where buyer and seller meet, achieve efficiencies of settlement and minimise transaction costs.
Redebt was founded by Henry Kikoyo, a UK qualified Solicitor with over 15 years of experience specialising in debt and corporate restructuring, distressed investment, and debt and claims trading.
